The FAMOS project is built on collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of knowledge. This page brings together the events that shape our journey, including workshops, conferences, meetings, and public engagement activities.
The results of the FAMOS project were presented in:
– Info Day Horizon-Europe, European Partnerships, 2024. Naples, Italy. A presentation was given by the FAMOS project’s Coordinator to marine and maritime stakeholders and policy communities
– Charting the course towards thew Sustainable Blue Economy Symposium, 2024, Brussels, Belgium. A presentation was given by the FAMOS project’s Coordinator to marine and maritime stakeholders and policy communities.
– Posidonia, The international Shipping Exhibition, 2024, Athens, Greece. A presentation was given by the FAMOS project’s Coordinator to marine and maritime stakeholders and policy communities.
– ICCE 2024 Rome, 38th International Conference on Coastal Engineering Rome, Italy, September 8th – 14th 2024, one oral presentation was given by the Italian FAMOS team.





– The National Greece–Cyprus SPOWIND Workshop, University of Cyprus, Cyprus, 13 November 2025. Talks were delivered by two members of the Cyprus FAMOS team.
– the 10th International Conference on Ships and Offshore Structures (ICSOS) at Chalmers University, Gothenburg, Sweden, August 31 to September 3, 2025. Three oral presentations of the FAMOS group were given by the Italina and Norwegian FAMOS teams.
– the ESA RN12 ‘Environment and Society’ mid-term and Energy and Society Network 7th international joint conference “Societal Responses to Environmental Crises and Energy Transitions” in Kauans, Lithuenia, 24-25th September 2025. Talks were delivered by two members of the FAMOS Poland team
– the 11th Short Course / Conference on Applied Coastal Research, 24-26 September 2025, Dubrovnik, Croatia. An oral presentation was given by the
Italian FAMOS team. Positive feedback was received from students and scientists.
– Monitoring of Mediterranean coastal areas: Problems and measurement techniques, Livorno, Italy, June 11-13, 2024, one oral presentation was given by the Italian FAMOS team. Two oral presentations of the FAMOS group were given by the Italina FAMOS team.
– Summer School for Early Career Researchers Methodological Perspectives for Social Research on Energy and Environmental Issues, 22-23 September 2025, two members of Poland FAMOS team offered inspirational talk on stakeholders’ engagement and interdisciplinary approach using the case of FAMOS project.
– The first FAMOS Summer School took place from July 14th to 18th, 2025, at the University of Florence, Italy. The event hosted 14 participants from a diverse range of countries, including Italy, Cyprus, Poland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Tunisia, Germany, Greece, France, and Azerbaijan.
The curriculum provided a comprehensive overview of Ocean Waves, Marine Renewables and Converters, Floating Structures, and Stakeholder Engagement. By combining theoretical lectures with hands-on sessions, the program enabled participants to translate academic knowledge into practical skills. Although specifically tailored for Master’s and PhD students, the school remained open to all interested professionals and researchers. Each member of the FAMOS consortium contributed actively, delivering specialized lectures and leading interactive activities throughout the week
