Barbara Stępień is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Her research focuses on the legal implications of autonomous maritime systems, particularly in the context of naval warfare and international regulation. She has led and participated in international research projects, including a Marie Skłodowska-Curie project under Horizon 2020 and a current OPUS project funded by the Polish National Science Centre.
